Help me to buy a VPS

I want the server to be fast for the players, when they are under 1000 online members, i don't think i will cross that number, so what type of VPS that i need ? and how much that will cost me in dollars $
and please feel free to post a link or so...

thanks for your post, cav VPS Cloud RAM 1 be a good start ?! and should i use linux or windows ?! because windows has the double price of linux
