Silkroad Official / Private Servers

Hey Guys,
I was a pretty long time inactive in the Silkroad Sections.

I got two simple questions now:

a.) is there a official oldschool version released by joymax? I heard this some times in past, but cant find any valid informations? If yes, which cap is it, and how is the gameplay feeling?

b.) is it still profitable to open a private server? Still having ready2use Server files with some custom features but most of them are official-sro like. Planning to try a reopen of one of those servers.

Yes, there are official isro (not sure about sro-r) servers with lower caps by jcplanet. Usually starts with 90cap and then proceeds with 100cap and so on.
The start is always fun (old times) but they aren't bug free, there is 10dg in 90cap, which sucks *****, also there are ofc all the pay2win stuff in item mall such as wheels (multiple blues on a item like > 20 str etc)

As soon as the majority of the players hit max lvl (90) and begin to realiste that jcplanet is still **** as joymax, alot of people leave.

I think the newest server is Hestia which is still 90 or 100 cap at the moment. (isro)

I guess they bring a new server with 90cap and the same problems each year, so if you want to join Hestia or the next one visit:

Can't tell for sure but most of the servers are always the same **** (100 cap, same files, same events) with minor differences. Some servers do have some success, atleast for a few weeks.

Only a few can keep players more than a month like electus, ruby etc.. so not sure if yours would keep up with that (time + money investing needed)

I was sure I'll get a typical total retarded elitepvper-community-like answer (at least for my private server question), but this answer was detailed and totally complete.

yeah, I had a couple of servers, just changed the names after a while to get new attention and a new "chance" to get some players on those servers.

I am sure most of those currently active servers have the same owners. by the time I was still active in psro scene I had 3 different servers simultanious running.
