PSro paid server

In a long time I had the idea of ​​creating a server where to play it would be necessary to buy an account (as it existed a long time in ecsro vip). The question would be somewhat different since basically everything from the creation of the account would be entirely free within the game. But everyone may wonder why the hell am I going to buy an account on a server if there are so many others?

Let's face the facts of today's online silkroad scene:

- benefited unions by gm ranging from silks, sp, gold up to hwid bypass
- price of totally abusive silks
- systems aimed at the exacerbated consumption of silks
- total in-game gold depreciation
- active corruption of gms

By making a quick account you need the following items to be "strong":

Premium plus
Devil Spirit
Immortal
Astral
Pet grab
Pet trans
Pet atack
Reverse
global
Avatar

And many others. If you put in the tip of the pencil and this you can check with any gm a player spends on average 60 $ or more per month in a single account of silkroad online. And when the player has more than 1 char? Then you can do the math yourself.

But okay, what do I mean by all this?

What if there was a server that to play first you should buy an account? That's right, buy an account. But, let's admit that you did not want this, you know what the benefits would be?

- valuation of gold in servers
- silk items would no longer be the basis of everything since everyone has them
- systems focused on gameplay and not the exaggerated sale of items
- total removal of gold bots
- real team play

And many other benefits that only a non-GM profit system can offer.

Okay, that sounds decent to me, but knowing in the current scene that we live like the server would hold on? Imagine a server with 100 chars online, each account would be 20 $ and we would have a monthly "billing" of 2000 $. I believe that under the terms of $ 2000 today it will be enough to afford to keep 100 people online.

Come on guys, $ 20 and you guys would have all freed up at no additional cost. I'd particularly throw it without a shadow of doubt on a server like this.

What do you think about this?

I like the idea, but esro5 was a good example of it not going to work out. It was the most played pserver yet only got 600 players max. And that's from a server with an insane playerbase than CAN promise players that will play. If one would do that now, except for maybe elamidas or electus how are you gonna attract people when they are unsure whether people are gonna play?

First of all I will deliver a clean and cheat-free gameplay.

Forget:

Bypass hwid limit
Gm corruption
Edited chars
Edited items
Edited unions
And much more

Second, each will have 7 days of grace to play. Remember that sro5 hit 600 players but we all know that not all were legitimate. Anyway, it's the one I saw that came closest to the gameplay balancing.

Premium items have always been a hardship where donors always had an edge wherever they went.

With that everyone has the same chance.

I believe that if all players do not feel invited to play is because they like to be cheated.

Not possible at sro, pay to play wont work unless you will make something more than just moded private server. Deep gameplay changes aren't possible with vsro files. To make pay to play server you would need to redefine sro, change its basic.

Silkroad isn't an interesting game anymore, its grind based mmo and noone gona play it, currently free to play formula is the only reason why anyone play.

To redefine silkroad you have to understand why people doesnt play it anymore. Unfortunately understanding reasons its not even half of success, i did not found yet alternative way for grinding base in mmorpg word. Its a common problem of many mmorpg's today and they save themself by going free to play.

Obviously what you say makes sense. But I see two points to play on paid server:

1- You spend $ 10/20 per month and have all items released for everyone.
2- It's easy to be done what server as ruby and reallity do nowadays

If it is the will of the players this can be done in 2 weeks at the most.
Now in my opinion?

It would be more than interesting an original server based type ecsro, because at that time the bot was not as easy and practical as today. But that's who the players are.

If you stop to compare, which one would you choose?

Spend 10 or 80 per month?

I made this comparison because there are players that spend a lot more per month. And to complete many players who do not want to spend so much money end up being disadvantaged. For even though the game focuses on play2win, it ends up becoming pay2win because of excessive donations. I believe that something between 5 ~ 10 is a coherent value because within the game everyone has equal chances.

Thats how life works.

Those players who pays alot dont care about the money, they care about advantage above the others, that players makes 90% incomes of the server. They dont care about Fair play, they do not want it.

You will create server where everyone pays a little and everyone have same chances, no item mall advantages? thats a communism and it failed long time ago. You will lose all that rich people who want to be not fair. Let me remain you that it is 90% of incomes. You will end up with a poor empty server.

I can not understand.
When you have a server that donates make a difference people say that it is unfair and when you have a server for the purpose of balancing, they say they do not care about injustice.

I really do not understand.

This community is simple, they blame everyone for everything but if you try to change something they will cry even more.

It's a paradox I know: they leave after they reach the top cause they're bored but won't join or leave in the first day if reaching the top requires a bit of effort. This mentality is sick but this community is not as big as in the past, the game network has changed since 2007/8.
Tell me why someone should play a game like Sro wich has no meritocracy in 2k17? People play for the nostalgia or just to show off.

Back in the past years some servers tried to bring to the community real Play2Win servers with a true concept of donations (aka small amount of bucks to keep the server running). How it went? Not good cause people, despite what they say, want the pay2win system. How? Have you ever thought why selling items for $ is considered pure pay2win meanwhile being able to buy everything with silks (items, elixirs etc..) is considered normal? Isn't the same thing? Yes it is, just not directly and that's enough for their consciences to feel like they're doing something and not just literally buying everything.

Everything is a paradox but at the moment it's like this.
The kind of server you've in mind can't simply be run anymore. People will kill it, sooner or later they will leave and jump to another "new hyped" server where everyone starts from 0 again and where they still have the possibility to become the "number one" there.

It's all about who reaches the top first and do it again and again.

Clear and eviente that everything you say is totally coherent. What I believe and that is most probably the thinking of some who still play is that it becomes increasingly boring to have a server where I can not be "equal" to others simply by not making great donations. Take the case of the Egyptians for example ... I see a great mass playing and they simply can not make great donations because of their economy. This extends to Brazil, Venezuela and many other countries that have a weak economy. My purpose before everything is not to profit, because profit is done with real work and today I earn very well thanks to God.

I just wanted to set up a real scenario where I believed that it would be possible to conquer everything through the work itself. If I could open a totally free2play server without charging 1 cent for it, would it be great right? But I have to pay host, development, protection, filters and there goes a lot more money. What I find weird is that if you go into any of these big servers like ruby ​​and reality for example you see that most players have premium, and what does that mean? See with the admin how many players actually donated and how much they donated, it's exorbitant and sometimes it seems like a joke. Meanwhile, so many others play the game to win what they want. And why is not there a place where you can play from the same to equal? I know it's complicated but I believe it's not impossible.

Do you want my real opinion? A totally original 80 CH / EU cap, all original, no frills, no coin system and nothing of the sort. But would anyone play? Probably at the beginning, yes, like the phsro and dunkroad, but did the players give importance? No, why? For the same reason you said it. They have reached the maximum and simply abandoned, so many people are talking, we are going to make a server as difficult as the island so that the end game is a bit more time consuming. Would anyone play? No! See for example that server risen that opened a few days, looked and saw that at most have 30 people online and today maybe half that. Their system is somewhat decent and extends the gameplay for much longer than normal! Do people want this? No!

But anyway I will still open my server in these ways. I'm just wanting to gather relevant information and especially how to make the economy of the server work with regard to the silk itself.
