Many, many reasons.. But the first thing I can think off is the fact that you didn't modify either of the procedures to fit your needs. Most of the SQL releases are not just copy the query and execute it. It requires from you to modify (specially the IDs of skills/items) it a bit in order to be usable into your database. People release their work, the way it worked for them, not for you
