He could but it's too much work for one man + you probably don't have the knowledge to do all the things (probably not even enough to see what should be done and how). The choice you've made- to use that emu as a base proves that you really don't know what are you working on.

Now, every Warlock can get free repairs during a wipe or instance by doing the following:
1. Lifetap until you cannot lifetap anymore.
2. Cast hellfire, and watch as the final "tic" of it kills you and in turn is a PvP kill and not a PvE kill which does not deal damage to your equiped gear.
