PvP server [Discussion/Questions]

Hey hi hello,

I started this topic, because for a long time there's not appeared any PVP server which is worth to play.
Servers like Queen sro are hardly ****** up via people which're playing here and donate system.
The last server which I can give a positive evaluation is Valthea, but it was months ago (dunno it's closed now ?)
In advertising section there's such no pvp servers, well, may 2-3, which have 20 people cause it's just ctrl+c -> ctrl+v from old, closed servers (usually it is 100cap and PGN database)
New servers in advertising be like "thanks bro for download you can donate L.E now for +28 2h shield and sosun fgw glavie from roc", **** it.


So, I'm going to ask, is there somebody who's forced to do a cool* pvp server?

*~ cool - there's no donate for items.

Cap doesn't matter, if server is made by skilled person, people will come for sure.

Some features which could make better gameplay:
- Area for pvp (in 95% servers the pvp area is in donwhang and while players are fighting people be like "oh im wizzard let's open the devil, use invisible and kill all from earthquake in zerk and say hhhh a7a"). There should be few areas for pvp where we can easily do pvp without troubles.
- As everyone knows, pvp servers're based on ctf & ba. Including systems : ( BA: chars which're not moving or not going outside from safe area will be dced),(CTF : chars which're not attacking and dying all the time will be dced) However, that could avoid abusers
- Ip limit 1, client limit 1 (in pvp server 1 char is pretty enough)
- I think donate just for silks with silk/h is the best system, ofc there's just one and only premium.


I don't have much free time, you guys probably too, we all have work & school and other things. Most of us have no time for PvE servers (us I mean people for which computer is not everything and sosun is not the thing that we must have even at the expense of health). Server should be for people who doesn't care all the time about better gear, just for people who want to have some fun in our dying game.



Enough to talk from me for now, what you guys think about it ? Would you like to play sometimes in a pvp server? May you know somebody who's able to do a new server?

PvP is 1~4 months server. Never meant to be long-term one. Beside, SRO is built on PvE. You can't change that!

BUT AN EXTRAORDINARY PVE THAT MIXES PVE+PVP DOES MAKE SENSE.

Nowadays every server after 4months is empty.

As I said for fun, for log in & meet with hoomies and fight.

And who will pay the 4 month vps without making 1 red cent out of it?

I think that the latest items on the game should be available for free (1 G) on the NPC's. You can sell premium (5%) and avatars. I see no point on making the players work for items on the pvp servers. The one who will do that have to think of new stuff for players to do on game instead of forcing them to do BA/CTF and that events which players have to work for the latest gear.

1- Players will leave when they have nothing (I already said you have to think about something that will entertain your players)
2- You wont be able to afford your host (You don't have to pay 99€ each month for super host) so you will have to rent a cheap one (which actually can hold up to 400 players if you wont **** your host much and not using SQL2020)

Because it's business, and no one is enough talented to run a business without ruining the main game play that is supposed to be longterm and worth paying for.

But why can someone just open a good pvp server and people can donate to support them (not for items or silks, or any kind of stuff) just to keep the server online. Thats a possible way too..

the thing is, you guys are refusing to understand the fax that silk road is a game based and built on PVE not PVP. there is not skill in pvp , just the power of better items and better skill farm. Even if everything is balanced and equal, in the end it just turns out to the luck of the player to hit highest and hit a critical to win a match. this is why pvp servers never lasts and always fails.

Literally, there has been countless threads like, i cannot emphasize more how useless this thread is.

There's no skill in pvp in game you sure, but in european chars you have to know what to use in right time and be quick - that's probably called skill.

Simply, everyone's playing silkroad not for a better gear, everyone's not playing silkroad for the glow of the weapon.(this just make happiness) Everyone just want to beat rest in pvp.*

There are also people who like to bot, to power level, to pk on uniques, everyone have different tastes, if you want a pvp server make yourself one, nobody is gonna make you a server for free, just for your fun!

So you don't have the right to talk for everyone. As you said ''do your own server blabla'' maybe more then 100+ wants the same. You atleast coulded say it more explained.
