I follow the instruction and it seems like it worked. The client startup by downloading the itemdata2500.txt and I can see the progress bar and everything, but the itemdata25000.txt doesn't get updated when I use pk2editor to view the files that was suppose to be updated. Does the client need to be installed in order for the update to take effects or can it be like a portable launching as well?

for some strange reason, it's \\media\server_dep\silkroad\textdata\itemdata_2500 0.txt. I just need to add silkroad folder.
