Less money for a better protected server

So lets go back to the topic!
If anyone here used/uses this service please give me some feed back .

Very lag, bad support (the guy is just a reseller, and doesn't have a clue of what he is doing at all), 1 man company (Ok, this is not a excuse, but without knowing about what he sells makes it complicated).

You can search a little on google, and you will see he is even asking help about 'how to setup a proxy' and 'how to avoid lag', such questions shouldn't be made by anybody with properly networking and programming knowledge...

Sure, he is taking efforts to make his service, but besides a nice "Yes, we can", he can't do way more, his website runs at the same machine he provides his 'so called' proxy service, he is 'protected' by a low level voxility ddos mitigation solution.

Every time you have a downtime there, if he don't know what caused it or if he can't solve it, he will tell you your attack was 'enormous' or he will simple say this is because of voxility fault.

Not recommending this to anybody.

Anyways, feel free to try it, and after you figure out that any 'real threat' will make your attempt to fail, don't say you wasn't warned.

I had to refund my money in paypal forcefully after I figured I wasn't going to get it back.

If you want something 'for real', yes you have only a few options in this market :

I managed to test / use :

- Staminus
- BlackLotus
- HyperFilter
- Dragonara

Staminus works good, but they are not 'so focused' with gaming, so you can expect some problems, but if you plan to host webservers or web application servers with them, it will rock.

BlackLotus is also good at the enterprise level, especially with CDN and network edge cleanup (for example when you have an ISP and want to have your traffic 100% clean, they have great solutions for the enterprise level, although their 'public level service (aka dedicated servers)', isn't so good, but I could say it clearly works better than staminus at this point).

- HyperFilter
They are extremely focused in the gaming scene, they care to how it works, the latency, the compatibility and so on, they do help you if you need (when they are able to/if it is the case) and they do delivery what they promisse, (the other competition at the same level also do that obviously).

- Dragonara
Well, another european alternative, but less recommended than hyperfilter in my opinion, since due to the same reason, their 'focus' is not about 'gaming', but about the enterprise and common service level, such as web servers, web application servers and so on...

Oh, I forgot to mention about koddos, I have tried them too, although they have too much downtime issues in the last month, and my friends have migrated from them, however, they used to work for websites...

I have some friends that already use DDoS-Shield and yes they told me about those "lags" but that happends only when the "Shield" is in Romania , they moved to France for free and it's fine.

C'mon. 120 GB protection can be done with 2x powerful internet connection-roots/dedicated servers and some of 100mb net zombies. OR you can simply buy a botnet / hour. with 200k users + are online .. more than 1 TB/sec attack. PLEASE!

I have also tried this solution, but in my case it didn't work, especially, when I was receiving (real high attacks), causing many downtimes and hearing the excuse ("It is voxility network fault").

All these servers are using another company (except Lyssa), not sure who told you they are using ddos-shield, but they are not .

Want proof ? Make a tracert, a simple tracert to their server ip and check yourself, what is the reverse dns address you see on the IP .

Example of velestia :

I've tried their service, let me write a short review.

Best thing is, that they could provide me free trial to try out their service.
They don't use wall-typed protection, they use hyperfilter's modules to protect sro servers ports. That was sad to me, but I didn't pay attention to it, I didn't care.
They told me that their servers were hosted in Romania. I've traced the IP which they gave me, and it was in Germany, not in Romania.
Although it was suspicious, after I applied protection I tried to attack myself with a strong attack and server was stable and online, without even any lag.
But, they don't protect websites. In the website they write something like "All ports available", but they can't even protect 80 and 21 port, which is used basically for web and ftp. All they can protect is 15779 (Loginserver) and 15884 (Agentserver). That's bad, because my website without protection basically reveals whole root's IP, then protection is useless.
In last days I was using their service, their "protection" 15779 port fell down, I'm not sure if it was ddosed or something happened to them, but nobody of my players could log in, I wrote in support and all I was getting was "Everything is fine, dude".
Oh, and finally, their support level is pathetic. They answer like once/twice a day, which is annoying comparing to support quality I provide to my players.

So, in conclusion, their protection works well and maybe it is worth, because it's kinda cheap, but it's instable, they do "restarts" of their servers like everyday which drops all of your players out and server becomes down for like few minutes, you've got only 2 protected ports and if something will become wrong you'll have to bang their skype off to get in touch after like 2-3 hours.

I think this was more than enough to figure their professionalism level.

I even forgot to mention that at my review, and yes it is confirmed, they can't do it theirselves so they took what hyperfilter has done.

They did not take anything from hyperfilter , the People who came to ddos-shield already using it from hyperfilter !~
anyway The bottom line ddos-shield is very new company and they
are working as a new company its not like they have all the power and the money in the world but they are giving you guys the best protection they have and its unlimited not like all the others Thieves company's out there !
HyperFilter for 10Gbps taking 300$ with limit traffic , so you past it your paying allot of money so its sucks very hard you guys need to be really stupid to paying company's like hyperfilter . by the way HyperFilter taking the protection from OVH lol So they are not big at all What's the difference?
between HyperFilter to DDos-Shield.net? i will tell you what and its ******* easy to explain . 1. DDos-Shield is cheaper . 2. Allot better protection for Game server Because they are not giving you 10Gbps they are giving you 120Gbps protection. 3. They are not taking any money for bandwidth , not like HyperFilter they are giving you 10Gbps for 300$ and than taking more money if you're past the limit bandwidth you're paying more and more money!
and in the end if you know something about protection ddos-shield are Resellers from romania and hyperfilter are Resellers from OVH .
