A story line,with tons of quests..With that I mean quests like "teleporter quests/pvp quests"
New gameworlds/custom pvp areas/survival arena-like system/custom enhancing sytem/custom skill system..etc etc
Also,I doubt that any of the current server owners are going to reply,because what you're trying to do is basically destroying their easy money-maker servers.

anyways i don't care about the money they get. this would be little profit for me anyways.. silk would not be sold, items would be buyable through any ingame currency i'm not sure about yet... as avatars etc are special, special stuff should be done..
donations will ofc be taken, but not for any ingame profit... maybe for custom titles or rare avatars, but nothing that gives you any profit. those item's would then definately be charbound. prems will not have dmg increase etc.
euro's should be nerfed to be equivalent to chinese chars. party playing options for ch on the other hand should be enhanced imo.

If you plan to do so, 2 things could happen:
1. Your server have low playerbase, but everything is fine
2. Your server gets popular, and kids start ddosing it. DDoS protection is expensive, and with such donations you won't be able to afford it.
Believe me, when I first opened my server I did the same you did, I wanted to make non-donators and donators almost equal, removed many things from the mall like 20% damage/absorb buffs, and everything was fine... until I got over 100 players.
Server owners are greedy, if you get popular they will DDoS the **** out of you. Having a full player-oriented server is utopian on the current SRO scene, other server owners won't allow you to do so, they will attack you non-stop, and laugh about you while eating his doritos.
And by the way, my website is down because we jsut moved yesterday to a new web host, I didn't change my sig yet also XD

even I got to know that SRO slowly dies, but as SRO used to be the game I enjoyed most in my entire life, I couldn't just stand there and watch it die.
Therefore: Here I am. What do YOU think, could make Silkroad a better game? What would make people join ONE server, playing all together.
I want you to find a way and I want to try to realize it. It could be changed gameplay etc or maybe an MP3Player or Videoreplayer plugin. It's all possible.
I want your Ideas and I will see how it could be realized.
I think beginnings will be realized in the Underground ( I won't leak information about it, but it's seriously dead, it needs to be revived ).
For those who don't know me: In the past i used to moderate this section and I've spent dozens of time trying to realize a well organized friendly sro section. The coding corner or the PSRO Advertising were ideas i came up with, so you might see there has been dedication to this section from my site.
Once the project is well structured, it might turn Opensource, but I'm actually afraid of doing so. Access to knowledge seriously is important, but by the resulting mods towards, the amount of servers created would once more split up the entire community.
I'm begging you not to flame this thread, instead I would love you to help me with your Ideas. Discuss them, improve them and once we collected Ideas, I will start a poll to see which ones are much appreciated.
By the way: I'm seriously planning to stay again, so Hey there I'm back ^^
