I believe certain software and ideas must be free, but most stuff on sro is better kept private and paid, you see what happens when it gets leaked (vsro files, etc)

That is maybe true but let me explain to you something, players don't manage the server the way they want, owners only do, you can't force the owners to run the server the way you want, you can suggest only and if you dont like the way they run the server simply leave it, And if you think it is the best server out there and you can't leave it then respect its rules and owners.
