I was kinda wondering why so many clients are infected. Just recently in one client all exe files were infected and even more infected files were being downloaded from their server. One process created the DesktopLayer.exe which can open a backdoor. Just yesterday I found a server whose silkerrsender.exe, sro_client.exe and silkroad.exe is infected with win32:jeefo (by avast). I looked for similar results and found a topic from 2012 with the same trojan being reported. In fact all those that Ive seen in the clients are no small matter, but heavily agressive trojans, which range from backdoors to deleting exe files and system files. What is going on here, did someone distribute infected files when offering the server files?
Owner get infected, release his client and his players get infected. Other server owners take their client for make his server based on someone work and so, take the virus with them, etc
yeah, we already hate to admit we cannot do nothing to stop this
I would like to get a really clean client and make it a MUST to use as base to set a server, but this is as impossible as to make users to read rules
Well avast is extremely good at this too. even downloading just 1 mb of a client rar is enough to detect the trojans. I used kaspersky before but its too resource intensive, its wasting cpu power.

Cleanest client you will ever find, I updated it directly from the official vsro testserver some days before the files got released. It has no patch (xtrap and ****).
