and if you order a server located in USA, you'll notice that everybody outside USA will have a full-speed of 50kbyte/sec attached to a ping between 500 and 800mn, which, is impossible to play.
Hetzner is a pretty nice hoster as well, but also requires some minor setup-fees.
There's still the option to use kimsufi - they're pretty cheap as well.

You must know the company's policy regarding ddos attacks(incase of un-protected server)..
Some companies shut your server down,some offer you ddos protection and some just don't care.

Side-note : Stay the hell away from SoftSys hosting..

if you're good at your business, "ddos" is nothing you would worry about.
at least no problems on the servers i manage and some of them got "ddossed" as well

If you want your server to actually be online, then yea.
dragonara.net has some good offers aswell. Including DDoS Protection up to 10 Gbit/s. A guy I know got heavly ddosed then switch to dragonara and I can tell it's working fine.

a 16-gig server costs 49€ per month, and the setup-fee is 49€, which is not that expensive.

It has nothing to do with the "skill at business"..I used to run a server with lv100 cap,i got ddosed and my company null-routed the server for 12hours.

After 15hours(Luckily i took backups from the server),ddos started again.At this point they null-routed the server permanently.
