Its all about sacrifice , we make a non free server of course but don't make it outrageously money hungry based. Fucking Perfection 2 Everyone has +18 set weapons from donating? Seriously i buy egy set Maxed FB +12 system inputs new pw system and my account is lost? give no money back and does not retrieve my account. All my time working with or playing servers. Nothing is complicated about asking someone about their ID going into the SQL and finding their ID change their PW to 1 or something and help them. No one wants to sacrifice that time. What they want is money and give less of a fuck about anyone else.

The description of a server owner you have just posted isn't matching everyone. You're talking about some shitty servers right now whom's owner are a bunch of retarded kids that wanted to make some fast and easy money with the attitude which is focused on a rule that says that they don't have to do anything and they'll get paid anyway.

Also, the money hungry server you spoke of is just a perfect description of 98% muslim servers, they sell suns etc because muslims just pay for such shit and that's a fact seen on many servers. They open such a server, leech as much money and then just close it after a while.

The third thing I want to comment is the lost pw thingy - you borrowed your account to someone? You gave items to someone because you trust someone? You got hacked? Well, as far as I know this is the victim's fault. Most of the server owners clearly state the fact that if you get hacked then you're the only one to blame because you were naive enough to get buttfucked by some kid and they are not responsible for that, hence, the lack of support for such causes, because they'd rather focus on people that weren't stupid enough to got hacked and got some REAL issues related to the server.

GlorySRO servers were all the same, no special features, a pure pay2win moneyfarm servers. People realised they don't have to play there to have some fair pvp, and Glory died because the money flow wasn't big enough to cover up the bills.

Don't get me wrong, I started my server with the savings from my RL, spent 2k$ on hosting sacrificing the savings for my holidays, in order to provide the players that choose to play my server a decent gameplay, no lags, fairness and so. It's simple, it is a shame to run a server on the same computer you watch your daily dose of ****. I could have started my server earlier, opening on a ****** server4you server with 8gb ram and start getting money from it earlier. Instead I spent my time saving for buy the host and also adding updates to my server, until I got enough for open it as an stable, bugless server with cheap silk and no lags at all.

In resume: You might will take this as a simple game, but opening a server is a compromise to your players. They spend time on your server, work for their stuff and so, you have to offer also the quality they deserve. I've never had to rollback my database, I always support my players directly with no longer than 24h delay, and still I'm able to do my stuff, I don't need a hamachi server for do all of that.

Yeah, many people opened a server because Chernobyl released the files. Remember that I didn't need any release to obtain the files, I could've opened a server anytime back then, I just had no funds to do so.

You misunderstood me, i didn't give my password out. They changed their password reset function and everyone lost their PW you had to use your email to retreive it i told the Owners my entire info of i lost my email so i can't get my account back. But they refused to do anything about it. Everything else you said i agree with also

True, that would be the best option. Few servers with a huge community like SWSRO/ZSZC had. A dream destroyed by a reckless action which was the release.

Unless we'll find an exploit that will **** every server and keep it private, that kind of pSRO situation will never be back. Regardless of how much we'd like to move back in time, it's just not ******* possible.
