Wow, you clearly don't think things through.. You honestly think they're retarded enough to not save it in multiple places? The files were HOSTED by a hosting company.. so if the host had problems with the hardware then it's not their fault.. They've probably got backups on 3 or 4 computers are LEAST containing all the info needed to run that server... Not to mention the user database.. I'm sure they backed that up every hour at least.
