443 and 445 ports

Hello, I would like to ask if it is okay to leave these ports open on server 2008? I know that these two ports are vulnerable in server 2003/XP, but what about win2k8?

443 (https and/or remote assistance)
445 (microsoft-ds)


Is is enough just to block connection to these ports in firewall?

There WERE vulnerable on 2003/XP machine but not anymore. every machine running 2003/XP got the patches alrdy and yes blocking just in firewall is fair enough. anyway there is no effect at all if you keep them open
