I have just logged onto Merv Sro-R.....I asked people "where do you guys PVP, in which city?". Reply: Server is dead no pvp. I asked: full of bots? Replay: Nah. 99%

I had read that sro is dead but I thought people are exaggerating...

Hey guys, this topic deals with the lawsuit from joymax against ECSRO:

In that topic it was argued that (that's what I understood) if you use a website that is not SRO related you will not (or are less likely to get) sued by Joymax since they can sue you for using their images etc.. Also, OverLimits in that topic says that Joymax can't sue servers that use their files (and are otherwise totally clean, regarding website, donation etc.) because Joymax has not copyrighted their different versions of SRO.

Of course it is not true, but Joymax has given up on their game, as it is dead. This means that you don't have to worry about playing a private server - the owners of the server don't have to worry either, since a lawsuit would cost the company (Joymax) more than it would notch them.

In order to properly deal with several network difficulties, quickly resolve connection issues and to give our players a better play experience, we have relocated our Silkroad-R servers to South Korea during the Extra Server Maintenance yesterday.



Server relocation was considered and discussed by all related teams working for Silkroad-R so that the teams can analyze and promptly cope with any unexpected network congestion that might be experienced by our players. In the previous setup, our technical support team had a difficult time to resolve some issues due to the long distance from the game servers.



Now that we have relocated our servers, we will be able to properly manage any issues. We sincerely apologize to some of our players who experience slight delays. But based on our tests, overall latency is good, there might be slight delay but should not affect the general game play.



If by any chance that you experience unusual connection issues such as severe lag or disconnection problem, please contact our customer support so that our technical support team will check the issues right away and solve the problem as soon as possible.



We, the GM team, will continuously do our best to provide the best game environment and stable connection to all our players.
