Guys, why no server owner ever kept his promise of opening the server on the named date/time?
They simply can set a date which they can easily keep.
For example: Server XY is starting on the 01.08.2013.
But then they are working on it day and night and are ready to start it 2 weeks earlier. Then the community would be much happier compared to the broken promises.

Its not about that. if you're serious and you know what you're doing you can easly give a rather accurate eta for things like this even with alocating some time for "unexpected situations"

OT:
There are simply too many servers so that the community splits. Another thing is that most of the players know too much about sro which means they actually havent any fun playing it. The only thing which might attract such players is the community/ and the chance of starting from 0.

Starting for 0 is absolutely impossible. As a matter of fact, I'm impressed by some new servers nowadays. They're trying so hard to get the silkroad legacy back. And, I hope SRO goes back to where it was.
