Hey Guys,

I have an Idea for a private server, Maybe the first PLAY 2 WIN ever ????

i want to look into how to create a server myself (which i have never attempted before )

So my idea is an 80 CHN CAP and progress by the hand of Polls to see what the server wants to play. and keep the EXP rate LOW so that it takes a bit for you to become lvl 80 as well. and also SOX drops from regular mobs make % low as well.

the server needs to promote jobbing that it makes it rewarding to do by getting Gold ofcourse which will be the main currency and not SILK as many other servers have. But also make it so that you can recieve coins ofcourse from jobbing which with enough grinding will get you SOX items star / moon so that SUN is the most expensive and hardest to get ofc.

Silk
So why no SILK currency? cause it makes the game PAY 2 WIN, i wanna remove almost everything from the SILK shop except Premium and Devil and dresses + attachments ( this purely to make money to run the server ) and make all other silk items available at a NPC for Gold. And make it that silk items can NOT be sold for gold either.

BOTTING
Botting is something people love or hate, i think for casual players botting gives them a chance to be able to play the game. grind bot during work and play in offtime type of thing. But it needs a good protection where people are ONLY allowed to play 1 char per HWID and 2 per IP adress.

i think this will make a true PLAY 2 WIN silkroad server, and that is what i am looking for in Silkroad in 2024 but doesnt seem to excist, i have never attempted to make a server but if there are people who have some experience are willing to join in perhaps we can get something off the ground!

anyone could explain why there is so many similar private servers? Literally same servers but maybe with one or two features differences? Is it just one team trying to create demand or it is that easy to just copy files from some server and run it? Also some servers are paying money to the players to play on the server? Like prize pools and stuff? Is this legit or is it just a trap with some sort malware and hidden bitcoin miners?

Asking out of curiosity as was looking for some private server to hop on but they all literally the same and look very sketchy.

I think
1. You can make money if you do well so people just try hosting the standard 110 cap high rates concept.

2. Players grow an ambition to host their own server. New servers are created before there even is real demand.

So there are too many servers around + some are fake. If one server does well other servers will pop up and try to steal players using hype.

After some time you will have your ways and contacts to find out which server to play.

F2P servers are always welcome dude. Some F2P servers still exist, but you have to look more closily to find them. Some are not promoted here on EPVP
