-According to the group SrElite, the answer is yes. They have been working on their project for quite some time, and claim, that when their pserver is complete, they will release it on the internet for no price.
The diference between every xy Emulator, you can get on these boards and a actuall Server is, that emulator uses the client files plus a database of it's own. Why this can cause such unstability is because the client is because the databases are mostly incomplete.
Another reason is, that the client you have installed is programmed to get packets from server for every imput you make, (buy pots, attack a monster...) but the emulator hasn't got all the packets programmed. So, for example, you want to dress into a thief suit, you client sends that request, but the Emulator doesn't have a clue what that packet means. So it crashes.
This projeck however, isn't based on Visual basics, and acces databases. This guys sniff every packet and program it, thinnering the chances of a crash.
Will their project survive, or will it crash into C9? Only time will tell, all we can do is hope for their best.
