Euphoric - Dev [ New gamestyle of SRO ]
Yesterday I've been thinking about a fully different gaming style of silkroad online... Pointing to the quests instead of grindings... Same chances to get same powerfull items for everyone... No botters... Only chinese characters with new items and skills... Only 1 or 2 regions... Increased stat points / level ups... What do you think ?!... Shall I continue?
Recruiting new members for this so called, "project".
Feel free to ask for more informations about my idea.

people want action. quests sounds boring if wont add for example unique killing quests. in every game are competition that's why people are playing games. it wont be popular if wont add action some massive pvp and etc.

That's not true for everyone.
I myself like games with lots of quests and not too many PVP matches or boss battles.

i like quest, but do not turn sro style into WoW that NEEDS quests to lvl up
it could be cool to have quest to use Degrees or to lvl up some masteries, but making Quest the only way to lvl is boring and tedious
aside of it, i like the idea

Improve quests atleast. 99% of silkroad quests are something like "kill 2000 mobs" or "collect 500 useless items to make wedding ring and then run to place x and talk". More improves,
1. you need something new, there are already 50++ servers with cap 90-120 without any difference. I hope you got the point.
2. You need something for low lvls. If you put low rates, only high lvls can have fun. Like in every other server. Please, do NOT do unique events (high lvls plvl buffer army or their friends).
3. I hope you are enough krall to block mc, like purity sro or something.
4. Get fullkrall pc for your server, EVERYONE hate lag.

Quests cannot be easily edited. Those lua scripts contain them, but till now no one really tried to edit them. You can only change the quest rewards through the DB.

if what synx says is true then you could just edit quest rewards to make them more attractive to make it worth it killing 1k mobs or so.Btw idk who said isro quests are just killing 2000 mobs collecting 500 quest bags,vsro files have forgotten world expansion and in this update all quests were nerfed less mob hunting more reward

Thats really a great idea.!
So many servers are here now with Unique events or Free items, ofc its fun to play there for a few days but then its just borring.!
Another great way to give more action to the players is JOBWAR !!! on all servers that are advertised there is low or really NO JOBWAR, this sucks cause its a great part of silkroad online and great fun. Maybe some1 remembers old times of isro with all day jobwar at jangan ferrys.... if u need anyone for test feel free to ask me.!

if anyone got any kind of coding exp, lua is simple, onyl thing is the dbg is difficult

It's possible to make new quest, if you can decrypt/encrypt *.sct (lua) script files.

I've got a idea for quest
Like every degree (8-16-24-32 etc) u need to kill a unique (from quest) and the rewards are sox weapons (sos-som).
And also i would really like to start like from cap 60 and change it every month-two ( depends on the rates too)
