No. I heard a friend say that these aren't even the server files. I personally don't know what they are. But he said these files won't be made in a server. So... yea that is all I know. Didn't really personally try out the files myself.

i just wonder when the real server files will be realesed...how many pservers will be on ( i mean serious servers ) and i wonder how ecsro started...that makes me mad cus i know its possible

The original public pSRO was made by Chinese operating(MHTC) on an old version of cSRO, they got hacked and they closed their servers.Somebody in China nickname "Ocean" purchased the hacked servers and opened ecSRO (European Chinese Silkroad Online or European Centre Silkroad Online).

Ocean just paid to MHTC to give him the server files.

No one knows when the server files will be release or ever be release. The things is there might not ever be another server except for ECSRO. Unless someone buys the server files from Ocean. But I don't think anyone cares that much about a game to pay a chunk of cash for the files. But that is just my opinion it could happen.

The last time I checked, MHTC was still open on their last media.pk2 address on port 15557 ( I won't post the ip here). It won't accept an foreign country ip's. I've also heard elsewhere the server is still open only in China.

With the real server files, you have to be careful. There are a lot of legal issues there. The best bet is going to be with the emulator. There is nothing illegal about an emulator (unless you accept donations and profit from it).

The SL.rar files were a complete mess. I gave up on them 2 months ago because there are so many holes in them that probably can't be fixed.

Eventually there will be servers all over the place like there is with WOW (I even messed around with running one for a while.)

Clean/Empty Private Server Database Files

I have taken the database files for the private server and cleaned them up. The new packed and rar'd file is 1.1mb. I used 'TRUNCATE TABLE <table name>' for most of the tables and 'DELETE FROM <table name>' for anything else that would truncate. Use these files in the same way you would the other database backups. Enjoy. (Thanks if you use it please!!)
