i gonna make P server

i need some one really expert to answer this questions plz

if i need about 500 user

1- how much internet speed i need to prevent lag ?

2- whats the server info i need ? ram + processor ?

3- why some ppl make the server on 2 pc not onlly 1 ? and can i make it on onlly 1 pc ?

1. 100Mbit or more(Lag got many reasons not only internet connection speed)
2.- 4GB++ preferable 12GB or more if you want handle 500 players.
- i7 processor ( Intel Xeon X5450 3.00GHz preferable )
3.You need a dedicated machine if you want 1000/1000 players active.
P.s.: I'm not an expert . Hope you understand

what about 4 Mb/s ?
