[Error] Invalid Character name.

I've been sitting countless hours infront of my files i just can't seem to fix this error it happend suddenly..

When you creat a character ingame this apears

"Invalid character name"

Or when you give a guild title or what ever

"invalid name"


Anyone knows whats causing this?

yup, i use VSRO files

The locale is set for Vietnamese therefor it will only accept vietnamese letters.

It maybe media Error (Or wrong configuration with server)
Try to use another media or try at server.cfg to find LOCALE_VIETNAM (there's 2 ) and change it to LOCALE_ENGLISH

i change locale_vietnam to locale_english, restart my server and now my client can't connect..

You gotta change the client's locale aswell.

i'm using win 7 32 bit.

Ok never seen that error before, but try using the IPInput tool to change the locale. If it doesnt work wait for someone who is more experienced in this subject (who knows what that error means).

ok, i try to update the client, 2 txt files, the client doesn't crash anymore but i still can't connect to server. though the sro_client.exe process is running in task manager...

i did try another client, change it with my ip server, let it update. and still can't connect ingame and sro_client crash.

i guess i will try it on another pc

it still can't, other pc also has this problem.
after update, the client crash... -.-"

my client still crash, is there any way to return it back to previous version using smc...?
