just edit config.php inside _inc folder.

you have to use xampp 1.7.2 not newers! , and enable mssql from php.ini

in xampp/php folder
open php.ini with notepad
search for
;extension=php_mssql.dll
replace it with
extension=php_mssql.dll
and restart server
profit.

That only crushes you Apache I've tried it out it's not that effective.Here you will find how to install M$SQL on PHP
