As you can see, this is my very first post, so if there is something wrong, mods let me know.
As the title says, I am asking what do you think about a p2p (pay-to-play) private server creation? I would like this to be more a discussion, an opinion exchange, rather then bunch of begs and asking about facts. I was thinking about a whole new concept, not necessarily a modified emulation, but a different approach.
I am a Silkroad Online player since a few years (with more or less pauses), on official and pservers as well. I always been interested about that argument, but now I decided to make a little marketing, to see, just in case, if it would worth trying to make one or not (of course, not alone). I know there are some of them (free&paid), some are quite good (eg. ESRO), but all of them has some limitations. Honestly, I miss those good ol'days, before the rise of bots, when login was easy, market was very exciting too..
Was thinking about a symbolic fee, eg. 1$/month.
Again, this is just an idea, just a query on that.
Well, I am waiting for your opinion. My english is far from perfect, so sorry for any typo and missunderstoods this may lead.
A p2p server 1$/month or 10$ for acc, NO 10k plýz turk , 90-110 cap, 30x-50x rates, starter set (like 50 silk 50k sp or something), euro or not i don't care.. That would be perfect pserver for me
@ Nacirema - If you think a bit, for older players like me, official Silkroad Online is p2p anyways. Just think about the login.. Not to mention other things..
@ KingLi & saif1999 - Sorry, but I am talking about creating a new server by us, not about joining an existing/future one.
@I Use Glavie - Well, ideas are ideas, but I thought something more like an almost "identical" official server, with easy gameplay between certain limits (not the ones proposed by you)
Thank you guys, I am still waiting for others ideas as well..
Nezekan is right. It's all a theoretical thing, to observe, how many would agree with something like that.
@KingLi - The real thing is a whole other way.. But if you asked, and I expect some would call me crazy for that, I was thinking to take the hard way to build (with the help of existing emulators, with help of other programmers, and who knows, maybe you.. ) from scratch a server, simple by "guessing" the server side, finding the packets, the opcodes the client would send and expect, and of course reverse engineering what it needs. Here I mention that I am not a kid, and I know this is not a one day job to do (thus p2p), but still, I believe it can be done. Once again, it's all at level of idea atm.

You will never accomplish this target... just forget to recreate it xD
