I did that, but that translator is not good. I can't see the type of mob, i can't see the 5 seconds when i relog and i can't see the chat.

download the media.pk2
replace with yours, and there you go.

i have downloaded 1.148 and he cant update it, if i patch it to 1.157 can he then update it

1.148 selfupdates to newest version. you gotta click on a division to start the update.
