MutliClient/MultiBot ( Working ) ( Needs High-End PC )

i'm going to state what i've done exactly acording to my PC, if it doesn't work with you tell me what's the differences and i might work it out

1st of all my PC Specs are:
2.4 GHZ Core2Duo
4 Gigs RAM
VGA 256 7600 GT GeForce ( i need a 8800 but i can't affor it )
1TB of Physical Storage
the rest is not important

1. Install VMware Workstation 6.x
2. Install windows xp pro ( if you are connected directly to a router make it Bridge in the network type, if not make it NAT)
A. use the wizard to create a new VM
B. you will be prompted a location in this location you'll find the extentioned VMX file that you need to append the lines to
3. install DirectX 9.0c Feb 2007 Edition
4. GET SRO installed ( and your favorite bot )
5. Close VMWare and do the following:

Enabling Accelerated 3-D for a Virtual Machine

To enable a virtual machine for accelerated 3-D
I. Choose a virtual machine with Windows 2000 or XP guest operating system.
Note: Do not enable Direct3D on a virtual machine that is powered on or suspended.
II. Add the following to the configuration (.vmx) file for the virtual machine:
mks.enable3d = TRUE
This line enables accelerated 3-D on the host. It is required to support accelerated 3-D in the guest and also enables the host to accelerate 2-D portions of the guest display.
III. You may also add one or both of the following optional lines:
svga.vramSize = 67108864
This line increases the amount of VRAM on the virtual display card to 64 MB. Adding more VRAM helps to reduce thrashing in the guest. The maximum value is 128 MB.
vmmouse.present = FALSE
This line disables the absolute pointing device in the guest. Applications which require DirectInput relative mode need to turn off the absolute pointing device in the guest. In practice, this is only required for a certain class of full screen 3-D applications (for example, real-time games like first-person shooters).
Note: If you set the vmmouse.present option, you should also turn off the preference for motion ungrabbing in the Input tab of the Preferences settings dialog.
To turn off ungrabbing for vmouse.present:
a. Choose Edit > Preferences.
b. Click Input.
c. Deselect Ungrab when cursor leaves window.

6. Play the game infinite numbers of time in the same instance by cloning the machine you just made

P.S. this need a very high END PC
P.S. the sorce of the step number 5 is

This is a well knowed but bad explained (till this post) solution.
I can add upon this that it work better if you want 2 client one to play/bot (on main o.s.) and one to stall (on virtual o.s.). It's expensive mainly on ram and work on single core p4 too (with almost 1gb of ram).
On I mac I tried too but is not so good as someone may expect (lot of lag and dc always near the corner).

At the moment I use this solution too.
I hope that my experience infos helps ^_^

if you know to set it right yest it should work since vmware is made for developers to test network applications without an actual network..so its like having 2 physical PCs...that is if you know to set it right
