Objective:
Getting pwned in SF? Want to DO the pwning? Follow this small little guide. Oh and plz guys if i dont go a very good job plz dont yell. I'm not saying that i am PRO but i can handle my own.
Pros/Cons
Pro:
1) sniper 1 hit KO
2) pwnage range weapon
3) cheap
4) fun to play with
5) super accurate
Cons:
1) BIG recoil
2) If u miss, ur pretty much screwed unless u realy good
3) Heavy and makes u travel more slowely
4) Not a very affective gun against sprays up close
5) Pretty much not camping, ur 80% F***ed
Equipment
Not very hard. Get a soldier (preferably Delta or GIGN or GSG). Next get a sniper the only one u can get at trainee is psg-1 wich is all ur gonna need to rise through the ranks. Now get a berret and a grenade. (all this is forced to be buy when u first start.
Survival
Snipes is focused on DEFENDING the target/item/bomb. The are also focused on SIRVIVING. Am i crazy? NO! survival is probably one of the most important thing to a sniper. Why? Sprayers or the people that use the M4A1, M16A2, AK74/47, MP5, etc are the men that are supposed to travel together. They move as one while the snipers are left defending the objective. If sprayers die its not a big deal because they are the OFFENSIVE FORCE if they all die, the oposing team will have to get through you to win the game. But with at least 3 snipers and ONLY 1 sprayer on defence the offence most likely have taken out most of the oposing team or left them with low hp. Let the remaining sprayer on your team attack the low hp and u focus on the people trying to take you out and take the item. You must rembmer there are other snipes backing you up so dont be scared. Snipers SHOULD 90% recomended camp (hide in a spot and stay there).
TACTICS
The tactics of a snipe(r) is very simple camp and protect. Some snipers are "pro" enough to be on the offence and follow the sprayers as a leader or a back up. But if u havent mastered aiming and 1 hit K-O chest shots, you shall camp.
MAPS
Why is maps important? you may ask. Maps are important probably the main thing that determines a Sniper's gameplay. Snipers should play in wid open areas with little crates and/or objects that hide you in a way. So, why not in small crouded maps? Simple in small maps there aren't much items to cover you, sprayers wont have to try as hard to aim at you, you cant camp and stay hidden. True with narrow passage way's u wont hav to try as hard to aim right? WRONG! There is a very famosue and commonly used sprayer tactice to use on a sniper and/or a sprayer stronger then the enemy's. The tactic is called BUNNY HOP (or at least thats what i think it is called). They will jmup all over the palce making it a bit harder for you to aim then when they are jsut running in a line.
Preferable maps:
ShangHai: Blue team guard the sub do not go into office for now adays people on red team know the weakness of window campers therefore your best bet is going straight to the docks and hide behind the single box if that is taken, the tripple box at the curve on the docks, if that is taken u are forced to take the stacked boxed inbetween the tripple and single box. That place is a bit hard but its not totaly useless.
Satelite: Guard the bombs (blue team). This place has narrow and small passage ways. So why here? well the small passage ways has alot of boxes used as cover and the wide open areas make up for it. Camping at your base, the bombs in the office like building or the one on the roof which is left of your spawn.
Bunkbuster: Protect bombs blue team. Small as this map may be many hiding spots make up for its lack or wide open ranges.
Kinabalu: Both teams are the same. Camping is most usefull here. there are wide open ranges for snipe battles. It was not to much and not too little rocks to cover you. This map looks like it was almost made for snipers.
NON-preferable maps ( prefered for pro snipers only )
Hospital: Guard the item Blue team this map involves you running with the offence so there will not be much defence because the defence position area is VERY small.
Train: this map is recomenden for snipes too because of the good fighting area but it isnt recomended becuase thisi s a favoritable SPRAYER map as well. plus it isnt plaayed very often.
And all the other maps have alot of glitchers that will screw you unless u can gltich them back. Shanghai has alot too but the camping spots doesnt realy care about glitch.
Cheaters
Leave the game if you see the first hint of cheating unless u can cheat them back.
Play Styles
1) Quick Scope / QS : Self explanatory see scope quickly and shoot
2) Geurilla Style / GS : Hiding and listen cloesly when u here footsteps and you are sure its the enemy pop out and give them a nice QS to the chest or face
3) Jump Shot / JS : Self explanatory, jump scope land shoot rpt.
4) No Scope / NoS: Self explanatory, shoot without scoping ( not prefered u will miss 95% of the time unless they are standing still and u jemp look down and shoot at 2 meters away
5) Back Stab/ BS (lol): sprayers will do this alot to you, shoot the enemy when they arent looking.
Action
Now when the game starts do the steps above but msot people wont do this so just request 1 sniper and 1 sprayer to follow you unless it is 3 vs 3 u only need yourself on defence. And make sure ALL of your shots make or you are screwed.
Approach
Approaching is the least thing a sniper needs to worry about unless u are on offence. When appraoching a sniper jump around like a maniac (bunny hop left to right) and when you feel they are getting ussed to hit jump the same direction twice. Only the pro snipes can get you. When approaching a sprayer what do u do? Trick question, YOU DONT APPROACH ONE! when u happen to see one RUN!!! When you feel like you are safe, take out a sniper and hide. Chances are he will be chasing you all the way. So lead him towards a teamate (lol). So why not zig zag ur way there? Sprayers will spray u to death. They dont have to make sure every bullet hits. They can srpay on and on and on till u die.
