I had a similar thing with 2 accounts.
one of them was unbanned a day after the ban, the second one was unbanned about a week after.

ehm, when i was playing rsro i was botting 24/7 on 2 accounts without any problem, i even got pmed by some gm, no **** happened.
runned 8gbots for 2months... nothing happened...
so if gm catches you that doesnt mean u're screwed. Its all about luck here.

What ban you had ? 3/3 or nickname? How did you unbanned/were unbanned? I heard ppl were randomly unbanned but still, strange

well actually... yesterday i got my acc back, and tryed to enter... but it was banned.
contacted support, and got it unbanned. peace.

this kinda strange.. i didnt know it but this is shown in my spawnlist in ribot.. i think its the portals of a GM.. but i didnt saw a portal with my another char that goes there in the area.. i also enable the keep tracing the "portal" but didnt trace it.. my bot char didnt banned until now.. this is happen this day about 12 hours ago..

this is because of the ribot need to be updated. (data files )
