What you're saying is purely subjective.
Nobody’s actually longing for the 2005–2007 era of Silkroad. Players are tired of revisiting the same old Silkroad experience. What they truly want are new, innovative features, an evolution of Silkroad into something greater.
If you've been keeping up with the private server scene or recently returned, you’d see the trend: most so-called "old-school" servers start with a burst of hype but die off within a week. They focus on low-level caps, players hit the cap, and then… nothing. No progression, no engaging content, just an empty game that quickly loses its appeal. How is that fun? How does that prove "everyone wants the old Silkroad"?
You’re stuck in 2005. It’s time to wake up and see the bigger picture.
At the same time, most servers that don’t focus on the "old-school" vibe fall into a different trap: relying on pre-made filters and devkits to launch quickly. As a result, their so-called "features" end up being carbon copies of every other server. Only a handful of servers genuinely attempt to innovate and bring something fresh to the table.
That said, I believe the future lies in the new RIGID files. With these, we’re bound to see some truly great things.
