[Question] Running 2 gameservers

Hello everyone i have a few questions about this

- How and where should i setup the databases on the main pc or on both?
- Should it have DDoS protection
- Can i just rent a vps from a other company to set it up on Windows server 2008 R2
- Wich connections should be allowed between the 2 machines.
- How much ram should it have (I believe i read 4 somewhere around the forum but i need a confirmation)
- How much diskspace should it have
