Just put ur settings to medium or even low and remove the shadows.
You should be able to run more than 3 clients.

My old garbage laptop can even run it at high (shadow off)...
Why waste money on a i7 proc. if you wanna play SRO? Guys c'mon... this is SRO... not GW2 or BF3.. hahahaha

Even tho i played sro alot i never bought this PC with SRO in my mind... So SRO runs without any problems, no lag... 10+ clients easily blegh... idc

I don't really think its all about sro, its more like what else could i be playing while xxxx chars in sro are boting.

the key is the available ram u have on your PC.
a i5 with 6770 or even a 5870+ should do the job. only you need a high amount of ram. so 6gb ram = 11~ clients (depends how much ram it uses on windows startup. and if you use memory cleaner you can open way more clients but will cause a lag on client selection to load the game up.

as a suggestion , put silkorad on a ssd so it will LOAD WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY faster on towns and other fields where there are loads of mobs/players ;]
