[REQUEST] How to from ep IV to ep V

Would be nice if someone could make a tut or somethings with all the steps to update a ep IV server to ep V.2 for the rest of us nubs around here

from EP3 to EP4 isnt much of a problem... from EP4 to Ep5 is a big change. There are a few things need to be change. I for one havent successfully upgraded to EP5 from my EP4.5

yup,there is a lot of editing besides the update of the db`s and i`m not sure that i know all the files that need editing and how.....or smt like that

switch the dbo.gamedef's for an ep5 one and add in the map files to C:\SHAIYA_SERVER\SERVER\PSM_Client\Bin\Data\Map

Yes that too but the skills wont work. If you import the EP5 skills into the DB, the game wont work. Most of us still trying to figure out this problem still. I see you got your sorted out. Mind sharing what you did to resolve the skills problem and get pass level 3 skills?

I help when requested, but I currently don't even have higher than level 3 skills on my server. Sorry, but if I help, I like to have the thanks button clicked otherwise I'm disinclined to help again. Quick tip for future.

We're working on it. When it's done ... and those who worked on it say 'yes' to releasing it it will be. Otherwise, someone else might do it first.

Who in their right mind would want a Pserver that is an OS clone. The purpose of Pservers is to be different.. to be what the players want. Undoubtably the players dont want OS is why they are looking at pservers to begin with.

But to answer your question, there is alot that has changed. Your best bet is to decide what you want out of ep5 and manualy implete them 1 by 1. This way when **** goes wrong.. you know what it is.

well see 13latrix those of us who actually develop our own server files can make a highrate OS clone because we know the files in and out
