I need help with makiing updater could anyone help me? i did

credits tutorial = Twilight

1.Create a folder on yours a web a server h t t p : / / yoursite/Shaiya

2.Create in this folder a file: UpdateVersion.ini
Write inside of it:

CheckVersion=3
UpdaterVersion=18
PatchFileVersion=57
Example INI: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting
Create a folder on yours a web a server h t t p : / / yoursite/Shaiya/patch
Create ZIP archive in patch folder with your files (in the official version in it there is updating SAH and SAF) and rename it in ps0057.patch
Example of archive: RapidShare: 1-CLICK Web hosting - Easy Filehosting

PatchFileVersion=57 Is number of a new patch
Your version of game should be less - 56 (Client:Version.ini CurrentVersion=56)

3.
Next step:
Open Updater.exe with HEX
Find shaiya.patch.aeriagames.com and change to your IP or hostname webserver

PS:
For change of news etc.. Find other http:// (hex) addresses and change at own discretion
As updatings SAH are created and SAF I yet do not know. Probably who wrote packers/unpackers to us will help.

3. Execute SHAIYA_MAKE.exe

4. enter in folder: Files

5. Rename the data.saf and data.sah, to: update.saf and update.sah

6. Zip this 2 files. (CANT BE RAR, ONLY CAN BE ZIP)

7. Rename zip file to: ps0002.patch
NUMBER OF YOU PATCH

i did that but couldnt understand this

Download 7zip(google it) and install it. Take your files and pack them into a zip file using 7zip, rename the zip and upload it.

Which file?

The new files you are updating, for instance: update.saf and update.sah or configs
This will change whatever files on your server with the new ones you upload.

I'm running into an issue here with the updater, I got everything uploaded etc to my FTP
The updater starts saying download is ready & starts to download but right at the end it drops speed and then does nothing. I assume it times out or something not really sure. Any ideas what this could be?

Just for clarification, My current version.ini is 108 So, I would need to put my patch as ps0109.patch right?

I have yet to edit the image etc... as you can see

Your Current Version doesn't matter excep that v 108 is encrypted.

If you are using lilpro's decrypted files then set the version to whatever you want. for example version.ini on client.
[Version]
CheckVersion=3
CurrentVersion=1
StartUpdate=UPDATE_END

UpdateVersion.ini on webserver
[Version]
CheckVersion=3
UpdaterVersion=18
PatchFileVersion=2

Then name your Patch ps0002.patch

If you are still using AGE's Encrypted Client I can't help you the patch will need to be encrypted before it can be applied.

Hmmm.. still freezes right at the end x.x Sniper if I send you my ftp could you check to see if it's all correct? I'm 99% sure it is but... just to be safe

I don't like asking people to do things of such but, I have been going at this stupid thing all day and can't get it to work properly. I have dl several updater guides files read I think 90% of post that I could find.. still nothing errrr...!!
