Introducing Shaiya GMT Server & Client
By my estimates it is still a number of weeks away from having a public release, but the days are drawing closer!
Shaiya GMT Server is a local application ran on the server which bridges the connection from the database to your GMs home machine. No sensitive credentials leave your server! Customizable to a certain aspect & beneficial for countless reasons, speaking in terms of the following:
1) Edit your IP Bindings, keep to your public IP or have a VPN Setup (not included) and point the server to listen to those connected via VPN.
2) Port bindings, Avoid the potential for the server to run interference with other running applications & Change it up as you go!
3) Brings the ability for the GMT Clients to kick users on the fly after making some much needed changes to one of your users.
4) Enables the ability to restrict specific account searches for those you grant access (You may not want to allow your users to see your account details!)

Shaiya GMT Client
This is your work station which will allow you and your authorised users to make those much needed changes without having server sided access/Database access. Which once again, you have complete control of. With the only major necessary changes being a few (currently 2) extra tables created in your GMTOOL Database.
1) Being your user list, those which you are granting access to this tool
2) Logging. Absolutely everything done via this tool is logged, from just looking up a toon name, right the way down to banning users/Removing/Editing items.

1) Host your own specific update server
- As time goes on and functionality grows for this application ofcourse updates will be released, forcing updates for both your GMs and your server is a hassle.. There will be none of that! Each GMT Client has a configurable updater link. When the time comes to update, just a simple flag on the server console will alert your GMS of an updated version and will prompt to run the updater which connects to your specified updater portal.
2) You control access to this, by default authorised users have full and complete functionality on everything seen on screen. It is planned to give specific permissions for said users (view only, log view only, name changes only etc)
The Plans
Whilst this is not a release post, more so a hype. Work is being made and a release will happen at some point mid month! It is planned to be three versions
1) Preview - Will run the server and GMT Client in readonly mode, no edits/kicking/bans will be made available and will receive limited support
2) Freemium - Will run the server and GMT Client with read/edit access but with reduced functionality (extent to be confirmed)
3) Premium - (likely will be scrapped prior to release) Full GMT Client/Server access with releases before the public!
