What Happened?

Hey everyone,
I've been away from shaiya and epvp for about 4 years now, I believe I left in the middle of the whole appolyon drama. I was just wondering what happened to this once thriving community? I mean, I don't see many familiar names such as johnheatz, bane, or lilprohacker. I used to see the Pserver advertising forum with new server threads almost every day. I've only been lurking around for about a week but I've hardly seen any new threads pop up in any of the subforums. I missed this community and everything it once offered and I come back to it basically barren . IDK I'm probably just rambling here but it does sadden me to see this place the way it is now. Can anyone shed some light on what has happened?

Shaiya is now a old game you know... But few good devs are still around, didn't you noticed current awesome projetcs like the Cups' Genesis one ?

dude yes. i feel the same exact way. But what Trayne01 is right. Shaiya is now "considered" to an old game and people are off set by it. But honestly to tell you the truth I been server hopping for years and its hard to find a server to stick with because the GMs add something to change up the pace of the sever and its just starts to ruin it. And most of the time they either go down because of some BS drama or people just grow out of it I guess. But if someone creates a server bringing back the old memories with the right advertisement. I'm sure people will come back. Because lets face it we have all tried to quit Shaiya at some point but its like a drug, you just cant stay away from it.

There are plenty of "good old days" server that try to mimic what OS once was, but the community (with a few exception) does not want such servers anymore.

People mostly join instant servers with no grinding so they can instantly start PvPing and quit with no hard feelings because they did not have to invest time to progress their characters.

That is quite sad, to be honest. The grind and farming was one thing that made this game so enjoyable.
