stats are server sided,u cant change attack speed, only make the animation faster with CE speed hack, and with CE speed hack u can change move speed

The relevant study material would be the cheat engine little tuts. With these you can learn how to search for stats, range, hp ... whatever you want. Then change them to 9999999 and soon realize that ur screwed and that all these things are server sided. Thats the lesson here.

They have been done many times on many games in many different ways.
