If you run from two different computers the same server, you will need to, somehow, make them both use the same database, else, they won't be the "same" server. And you can't make any "permanent" change as both of your computers will have a different IP, you need to have the server with different IP's according to the pc, and that will cause a lot of troubles to your users, as they would need two game.exe or you would have to send updates with the game.exe of the pc that will be hosting, but still, you would need to make them both use the exact same database, else it won't work.
