Being that I'm on an AT&T Uverse ADSL Static IP connection, I've noticed through my IP traffice monitor that Shaiya uses a program known as Akamai to do something other than game with my internet connection.
I'm wondering why it seems to be using a peer 2 peer like network interface to accomplish this task, and when I'm in game why it seeps the hell out of my bandwidth to where everything other than the game itself comes to a screeching halt.
To me this tells me that the game is using my bandwidth as the server connection.
I suggest you all invest in traceroute software, as well as IP banning software.
Neotrace is a great visual traceroute, which I've used to determine the central server is in Sunneyvale ca, however in game that is subject to change I've noticed.
I've also noticed that the akamai protocol uses these other players IP address to umm kinda be a marketing server for web content.
I highly suggest Peer Guardian IP Blocker, as well as Bee Think IP blocker.
I also noticed through my firewall security software "Comodo" that the game itself utilizes global hook control within the game which is kinda like a keylogger of sorts.
I suggest you all check it out, since it's like this you can literally do anything you like in the game since they have hijacked ur connect to increase the server speed, as well as market spam to you at the same time.
Also look into trying to understand how it's modding ur system registry Root Control Policies.
