[RELEASE]WldEditor - Shaiya Map Editor


Hi all!
I want to introduce a new map editor for Shaiya



This tool displays an abstract image of objects on the map, and also allows easy management of them, which makes it easier to work with creating/changing a map.


Usage
  1. Unpack your data.sah/saf to separate folder
  2. Open WLD file from world folder through WldEditor (WldEditor doesn't support DNG maps)
  3. Make the necessary changes using the tools of this program.
  4. Save it and put to Data of your client

Hot keys
  • Arrow - Move current object
  • Left Ctrl + Arrow - Move current object (faster)
  • Left Alt + LMB + Mouse move - Move current object by mouse
  • Left Ctrl + LMB - Add object to current cursor position
  • Left Ctrl + Left Alt + LMB - Add object to current cursor position (random rotation)
  • Left Alt + Mouse Wheel - Rotate current object
  • Mouse Wheel - Map zooming
  • RMB + Mouse move - Move camera

Height Map
  1. Click to Scripts button
  2. Click to "Export Height Map" and save it
  3. Open your saved .raw file using Photoshop
  4. Change height map as you want and save it
  5. Click to "Import Height Map" and open your .raw file

Great release, but the SMODViewer, after trying to use terminates the application WldEditor, I do not know if this error is happening just with me. but in any case your application helps a lot.

Amazing release. Haven't tested the tool myself, but as someone who continously works with Shaiya Maps and object movement, I could already tell that your work is marvelous.

Only thing I would down vote for, I don't think this community deserves being given tools for free anymore.

Why shouldnt we give anything for free anymore? Its a community for a reason and has been for years. Why be greedy?

I'm pretty sure I mentioned that the community doesn't deserve anything anymore. This has nothing to do with "being greedy", it has everything to do with people not deserving. I did the mistake of releasing some of my files for free and I know I won't repeat that mistake again. The same statement goes for all of our good developers and GE's. In the end it's your work and your choice.

Hi hronolight,

I have been using most of your releases and they are just amazing.
Keep up the good work!

This personally helps me with rotation of objects as it gets confusing for me as more objects/shapes/buildings/grass are added into the .wld file.

Looking forward for this tools update!

I personally have already used this program several times. I found a small bug, but otherwise this program looks stable. This is more convenient than ShStudio, but still there is not enough display of 3d objects..
I would like to make it possible to visualize the landscape and the models so that I do not need to go into the game every time to view the results.
Unfortunately, I could not find good documentation on the rendering of 3D models in C #. And so my 3D Viewer works much worse than the 3D viewer from ShStudio.

I agree but it doesn't really matter, the game itself is already dying anyways, might as well make the best and help the community grow back and improve.

I have seen one who attempted to do this and was successful, as far as I remember when we chat about this, it seems that what you have is what he is missing and what he has is what you are missing. lol

The developers who attempted to make this possible are now both out of reach and not responding to me.
They were almost friends to me but they had life problems, thus, the development halted - which is understandable.

Anyhow, still a very helpful tool as it is if you know what you are doing.

Yah. It is anton1312 tool. It is looks perfect. He used C++ for that.
I have a connection with him. And I asked him to give me this tool, but he refused. And he called the price very high. So I had to make my own analog.

The C++ source for those tools is on github:



Looks interesting.
Also check de Model Editor (Mob editor), looks like flyff uses a similiar engine as shaiya.
