Yeah "for some totally mysterious and unexplained reason", all files that are known to be dungeon maps (and not landscape), that start with "DUN" (and not "FLD") are not "for some mysterious reason" managed by that tool.
This tool offers auto-computation of the Y coordinate (elevation) of items positioned on the map; shStudio - which is surprisingly not cited as a source of inspiration or information - does not offer this feature.
It appears that the elevation-grids of FLD maps use a very basic format (square grid) so the computation of elevation is easy and straightforward.
OOH the computation of an elevation within a dungeon requires rebuilding the entire dungeon and positioning the item in it. I also published the format of .dg files but apparently, that was left aside.
(An alternate reason can be "there is no drawing of the map", but this is true only for old archives (interface/minimap contains drawings for dungeons since a while)).
