[TUT] Test sql connection

Howdy,

Ever wondered how to quickly test the sql connection without the need of the management studio which is slow and sluggish?

Test a local/remote connection

1.create a new file on the server desktop and name it whatever only the extension set it as UDL instead of .TXT (e.g. anyname.udl).

2. Double click on the file and fill your server information (for local connection fill the server name with the local ip or name (e.g. 127.0.0.1) and for a remote connection fill with the external server IP).

3. Click test connection right bottom corner.
