Shaiya Database Backup Tool
How does this work?
1) It turns off the MSSQL Server to get access to the database files, that means the server will turn off.
2) It creates a .zip file with the Database name (need to place this file in C:\ShaiyaServer\DATABASE)
3) It starts the MSSQL Server again and your shaiya server will run automatically right after!
How do I make this work?
1) Please the .exe tool into C:\ShaiyaServer\DATABASE
2) Open the .exe tool as ADMINSTRATOR! (will check for admin rights).
3) Open C:\ShaiyaServer\DATABASE and always remember to remove the .rar files of the backup before opening the tool again!
Hope it's easy and understand-able, also I know it's not something hard to do but it surely is hard to remember.
Therefor here's a small guide on how to make it run every Friday at 9 PM PC time.
Step 1)
Search for "Run" in start menu and run it then write the following line:
taskschd.msc
Press Enter so it opens.
Step 2)
Press on "Create a new simple task" then put in a name & a description you would like the task to have, example:
Shaiya Database Auto Backups
Description:
This will run the .exe backup tool to create auto backups.
Step 3)
Press on "Next" then choose the option "Weekly" on the question:
When do you want this task to run?
Step 4)
Press "Next" then pick a Friday as the day and pick a time when you want this to begin, which is at 21:00 in my case.
Step 5)
Press "Next" then leave the option on "Run a program" , then click "Next" again.
Step 6)
Final task, now press on "Browse.." beside the empty box under the question "Program/script".
Go to C:\ShaiyaServer\DATABASE and pick the "Backup Tool" as the file.
This should come up in the empty box:
"C:\ShaiyaServer\DATABASE\Auto Backup Tool.cmd"
Leave the other two text box fields empty.
Finally press Finish and then you're all good to go!
For you lazy people & not understanding inside the RAR download file you can find a Auto Backup Timer, it will auto run the tool every week the day you open the Auto Backup Timer.
You can edit the schedule by following step 1 & 2 to find it, then double click it to see when it will run and further information.

I honestly have no idea why it shows up as a virus probably because of the BAT 2 EXE converter I used, but it's all clean I promise
