Yeah, there's no MonsterEx.sdata - and yet I do see drops for the other 2800 monsters, except those I asked about...

if you see the green and black. some numbers have green other have black numbers. the green is because your connected to your database. this means the database you have. have setup the other mobs. The ones that posted this database then have made that drop for you.a nd you are connected to the database.

Still have to say that OS does not include the drop :-) but the one you got the files from might have. That does not have to be the same drop as OS. why there not any drop there :-)

yes blue is from the server. the database you collected from somewhere. not OS's database.

well the database ( server files ) you have you got from a place right? guess from this site. that is a user here that made that. this is he's drop. not OS drop..

In recent Episodes, the USA version of the client include the Definitions (Drops, Stats, etc) in some files in \Data\BinarySData\ and Mob info is taken from DBMonsterData.SData (the info in blue color).

(With those files and SStudio you can build a GameDefs with mob names, drops, stats, items, etc.)


About amher question, may be that mob doesn't include drop info, if you check, there are a few mobs that doesn't have the drop info in the client (mostly new mobs).

Hello @ ! Version 8.0.3 is kinda bug ... when i generate SQL for Cash.sData it gives me errors also when i edit EP 5 sdata it do not save what i have edited for example ( Item.sData when i edit it The SQL generate with changes i make after that i close item.sdata then i try to edit i have to edit all again because last edits are not saved )

Hi Folks,

Begining last year, I started several changes to answer to some of your requets and to fix some bugs or leaks (such as the errors when saving DBSData files). Alas, I could not find the time to do all the beta tests necessary to provide you with a clean version.

I choose today to provide you with the current version as is; please be careful and duplicate any file that you edit with the tool - it will generally work but I cannot tell you with certainty what may have remained bugged.

Several minor bugs were fixed; partial list is as follows:
+ Added
* Vani viewer (.vani)

+ Fixed
* Saving of DBItemSellData.SData,
* Support of episo 3 icons sets (support for files interfacve/icon/1xx.{tga|dds} was removed)

+ Modified
* Improvement of still-images inserted in tailored dialogs of Item.sdata
* 3DX viewer (.3DO, .3DC,
- list of facets is now resized with the window
- Visibility of facets can be toggled on/off by pressing space key (Show / Hide button still usable)
* ITM viewer
- change of default rotations of axis system to allow easier rotations of objects
* NpcQuest.sdata
- the file NpcQuestTrans_<lang>.sdata was always required even for ep.4 files, fixed
- the "Export..." (to CSV or SQL) menuitem (which does not have sense for this file) is now disabled.
- order of tabs "Merchants", "Gate-Keepers", "Standards-NPCs" (i.e. all others) is changed
- creation of new GateKeeper opens its tailored dialog (uninitialized keeper was silently inserted in list)
* Improvement of support of DBxxxData.sdata files
- fix saving of numerical values, add saving of literal values (DBxxxText name chosen from current language or last imported language file).


New features includes:
* change logic of codepage support: the default codepage is the one of the host system (the one chosen in Settings/fonts is no longer used (or at least should not be); that default CP is used to transcode any text from former.sdata or DBXxxxText_LNG.sdata from that CP to Unicode. If the text is partially wrong (eg name of item is fine but comments contains garbage), it means the file is invalid (whatever the reason); if all texts contains glytchs, you have to choose another CP from Tools/Scripts/Change codepage dialog attached to the currently used editor (not a global setting); after any modif, if you want to transcript any file to a given CP, choose it prior to save file (editors always use unicode, so changing the CP has no impact on text displayed by editors, of course it have impact on loading and saving the file).

* the DBSData files are saved in their native formats (and no longer corrupted or empty); loading a former (ep.5) format and save it as ep.6 or vice-versa was not fully beta-tested.

All *detailled* reports of beta-tests are very welcome.

Even if there are no bugs, you can never know what could happend.

And remember a reply 'it broke my server' doesn't help, so if you report a bug, please remember to specify:
-What server/client files you were using.
-What DB files you were using.
-What exactly SStudio release you were using.
-SQL version, OS version / language.
-And first try to reproduce the bug and indicate here the steps so he can reproduce it and check it.

Bugs Fix:

* BinarySData/DBNpcSkillData.sdata & DBSkillData.sdata
as well as Monster/NpcSkill.sdata & Character/Skill.sdata
were badly saved or not saved at all.

Indeed, there is a bug in current version that changes the NPC-type of Merchants from 1 to 0.
None of the other types of NPC are impacted (GateKeepers are type 2, Blacksmiths are type 3, and so on).
Fix will be released together with others fixes, unless none is signaled & fixed within short delay.

* if the file within archive is in plain (is *not* ciphered), the client game will crash.
* if the file in foo\PSM_Client\Bin\Data is ciphered, the server will crash.
So since you didn't indicate that your game or your svr is crashing over and over, your point is wrong.

On other hand, yes, a SP can generate errors if it contains invalid code.
There you simply forgot to notice that the NpcQuest.sdata file contains apostrophes since quite its very first days, and server components as well as the SP (at least the aeria ones) had never crash because of that.
I so suspect that you're dealing with some specific SP(s) edited by you or someone else that possibly contain error in their log-strings building.
So please, check the encipherment of file (do not make unverified assumptions), check the SP causing issues, verify that there is no error when using any AGE-provided NpcQuest.sdata, and finally if handling of AGE-files is different than handling of shStudio edited file, give all information regarding all involved elements.

And of course, did you specify the OS codepage and the one used to open the file (which is ALSO use to save it) ? NO
The dirty/bugged/whtvr log of the Stored Proc? NO
The code of that SP that build the logged string ? NO

... and I have to invent all possible content and contexts? NO, definitively NO
