Remove updater with ollydbg

Good morning to the whole community. I apologize in haste for whether or not there was an issue related to my question. I’ve seen a lot of issues about removing the updater from the game.exe by patches, but what I’m looking for is to be able to remove it personally using ollydbg. What are the locations to do this? From searching through text references I could come up with "home game" but I’m not sure if it has anything to do with it or not.
