Add Versionscheck

Hi,
I want to add the VersionsCheck to my game.exe. Its been removed by the Shaiya Patcher.
I already watched at the source code and used the search function but nothing helps. Does anybody know how I can add it?

It is done through ollydbg.

There is even a guide somewhere, but I can try to guide you through the steps if I can remember them. I don't have access to ollydbg right now, so some names might be wrong.

First, open your game.exe in ollydbg, then analyze it (this can be found in the Debug tab I believe).
Search for all referenced text string, then look for "ServerVersion" and you should find something like "ServerVersion [x0gr]".

Double click it and a list of push commands will open. Look for 2 identical PUSH XXXXXXXXX commands, they should be within a few lines of each other.

Edit those to the server version you want, eg PUSH 12345678 would be server version 12345678, therefore /vchg 12345678 on your PS_Login.

But my problem is I can´t find the text string "Serverversion" or anything else because It´s removed by Shaiya Patcher. I tried more game.exe but I can´t find It in any game.exe.

So how i can bring the Versioncheck back into my game.exe?

Yes I already did it. Can´t be found because it´s removed by shaiya patcher. I tried a lots of times. Nothing..

What episode is your game.exe?

When I can, I could check at which address the server version is normally located at.

It´s an old Episode 4.5 game.exe. Thanks for your help bro

Try repeating the steps of the video, I think it works with any Game.exe.

I just checked a ep4.5 game.exe from Ariez release.

It seems like EP4.5 does not have ServerVersion in the game.exe, just EP5 and above.

If it helps, ServerVersion in my game.exe is located at 003519f8, but it will surely be different in yours.

I compared certain points in both game.exes and it seems like EP4 has a bunch of code related to login and server selection missing compared to EP5 and EP6. That code includes the server version.
