I've been trying to setup SQL 2008 during the whole day but I'm hitting a dead end. Thought it would be easy to follow nephren's guide (
) but all I get is the green pause signs. After reading through the logs I think it's that the login to sql doesn't work. I can't understand why.I have checked protocols and fixed them. The file pathway is also correct, matched them with the config files. Hashed password in config files, tried compatibility mode and also tried to switch to sql 2012 that is supported for windows 10 but then I get the message that the databases are too old and won't work so I reverted to 2008.
Is there anything I am missing or is it just that it won't work on windows 10?
I managed to migrate the DBs to SQL 2012. And I am having more success there. All server parts are going except Game. From the log it shows it can't access ps_game.exe. Is there anyone who is familiar with that problem? All other parts of the server are working as expected.
