thats odd. are you sure your patching it right? check out the updater tutorial by SrShaden. Where are you storing your web files? localhost or a online web sharing? and to get this clear, after you run your updater and it updates the patch, you get an error after you try to login "cannot connect to login server"? if so, that is interesting because i don't see why updating something would cause the server to not allow you to connect. if you could give more information that would be helpful that would be nice. hope you get your problem fixed.
