Developing Project - Fun
(Sorry if this is the wrong section, didn't know where to put it, since it's NOT a public server and will never be. It's not advertising either.)
We are a group of developers, with different skill sets, and we got a project going. A fun - BIG project!
It is called The Shaiya Project, and it is basically a team of developers, having fun together. We are building a server, but not just any original Shaiya server. We are aiming to re-write Shaiya, in making Shaiya 2! Kind of. Our server wont ever be published, open to anyone, just a playground for us developers.
At the moment, we are 11 people in our team, but only 3 of us currently working together developing. The others are there to help us sort ideas, and help us think our way trough a idea, in actuality. They are a great help! Because sometimes we think we are semi-Shaiya-Gods who think we can do things that is nearly impossible! So they keep us grounded, and realistic!
With other words, every single person who join us, has their own way of helping, a own way of contributing to this project. I really have to put weight on the word PROJECT, because this isn't a server, and will never become a server. It will never be officially released. It will remain private, and a project, so that developers from all over, can have one place, where we can always have fun, have some work, and have a community to turn to.
What is this project?
It's a project for developers, any developer, and any skill. A project to create what your imagination wants to create! A team to ask questions, share ideas, share creations, and simply be part of this team. Are you sick of greedy developers, stealing your work, taking your credits? Are you sick of owners who push you around to create some dull s*** you could make in your sleep? Are you sick of owners who are in it for the money only? Then this is the right project for you. Because we are sick of it too. Sick of people in it for the money, who think it's a shortcut to getting that car, or computer. We are not interested in money, greed or shortcuts. We are interested in letting our passion for Shaiya grow, and finding all sorts of secrets Shaiya's files has to offer.
What is required to join?
Passion for Shaiya. Pure passion for Shaiya, and it's files, gameplay and creativity. Feel like you don't have the time? Well, good news. We don't have deadlines, of players pushing you into doing something. We simply relax, take our time, and have fun while we explore more and more in the files.
What could I do in this project?
Anything. You could manage social interactions, as a Community Manager. You can test out what we make, as we make it, as a Game Tester. You can play around with effects, if you love effect editing. You can write scripts, and do insane database things, with your skills in SQL. You can humor us, with your comedy skills, and make us giggle! You can do, whatever it is that you want to do. Because we aren't hiring anyone, you simply join us, for your own personal passion for Shaiya.

What future does this project have?
We have no idea! Spaceships? Flying pigs? Guns? First person? We have absolutely no idea what will become of this project, but we hope that it will become a similar game as Shaiya already is. We want to try and keep the good old graphics, and the good old charm of the game, but adding new content, new items, new graphics in old style and so forth. We want people to feel like it is shaiya, but experience it in a new way.
