It's a lot simpler than it seems, and believe it or not no textures or anything like that need to be edited to remove the island so it isn't a parlor trick like fully transparent textures.
I might make a tutorial on this in the future, I wanted to see how many people could figure it out themselves first.
Let me just make this clear because frankly, I am offended that something so unique was stolen from my server's client. The login screen that Nemesis uses belongs to me and ShaiyaX and no permission to use it was asked.
All they did was recolor the moon. They did not remove the floating island or the rocks - that was all me with EarthCrush's help.
I will post screenshots for comparison when Nemesis is online.
I will tell you now though the similarities are uncanny, the only real difference is the color of the moon.
I don't want to believe they would steal other's work, but if it looks like a duck, acts like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it's a duck. When I look at two login screens that are 99% identical, I'm going to have to rely on logic rather than the desire to believe in the good of people.
Until I see proof that it is their own work I will not change my stance. Right now common sense and date of implementation is on my side.
As I assumed, nothing was stolen, I questioned Shade about this, all he did was change the login3.wld to login, that screen you are seeing is from EP3.
Invalid to me. That is a step in the process but too bad there's more to it than that since that only removes one component. So no, that cannot be "all he did".
I am not claiming credit for thinking up using a moon in a night sky, but to use the exact same concept roughly a month after the first server using it goes live is a pretty unbelievable coincidence.
Danco does not have to prove himself to me and you don't have to try to do it for him, because my opinion will not change because things are too similar and done too close together in time. If I was not stolen from then I was ripped off, neither is much better than the other. All this is doing is bumping this post that you've *partially* answered, so let's just drop the subject
Open your Game.exe, search for login3.wld, that is the activated world file for that particular part of the game. Change it to login.wld for the "empty" look, and change it to login2.wld for the kathedral. You can find the TGA's conected in the SMOD and WLD files itself in the data.saf. All i did was change mine from login3.wld to login.wld and opened the TGA's and cahnged the hue of them to match my server, no stealing required, i actually enjoy finding stuff out myself. The shape sliding down in the normal login.wld is standard, each client, even US and KR have it, besides, yours is a moon, i used standard stuff, since i did not want to copy.
P.S. to block out the floating rocks, find the respective floating rocks.SMOD and change it to *.BACK (backup), keep the bitsize.
